Prefix, Root, & Suffix Activities, Personalized Materials, and a FREEBIE

During the last week of school, I was told that I would be moving up to 7th grade.  I had mentally prepared myself for that over the summer.  However, last week, I was shocked when I got a call that there was a 5th grade LA and SS teaching position at my old school.  I was given the option to stay in 7th or move to 5th....I chose 5th!  I am excited for this new adventure.  I haven't taught SS in a few years, so it will be really neat to integrate the two subjects. I also like the content of 5th grade SS, US history. This new position will also give me the opportunity to share some SS resources on TpT, since my current items are mostly LA resources.

Here are some new products I have recently added to my TpT store...

Are you looking for a fun way to teach prefixes, roots, and suffixes?  If so, you are in luck!  When I have used these resources, my students loved deciphering the dinosaurs' names, as well as creating their own unique dinosaurs.  Use the dinosaur themed activities below to engage your students!

The next batch of products all sprang from the same idea: Wouldn't it be nice to have some personalized classroom materials?  I found some awesome teacher clip art that allowed me to create 16 different (EDITABLE) options for my newsletters and signs.  Check out the example below to see how you can use these resources in your classroom!

Thanks for sticking with me to the bottom of this loooooong post...haha.  Here's your FREEBIE! Enjoy!
